That's why I removed and reframed the share the way I did.

I don't want to even have the perception that we're censoring anyone. But I do want to respect the general community and make sure that the ground rules and assumptions are followed and that if we want to have that discussion here, that there is a way to do it to keep it contained and keep it in a post.

Now, I will say that if someone who is one of us is directly affected by this, I would LOVE to hear from them. And would have no issue with them posting it here (but, possibly behind a jump).

Additionally, other forums are MUCH more involved with this, Groupthink, Clashtalk, CrossTalk and The Salad Bowl are all very closely watching the situation and most of the posts currently are about Ferguson.

Why even try to discuss politics on any gawker site? There is only one view that is the correct view and that is Nick's. If you don't agree don't even bother to comment. That's why I'm not saying a word about all this garbage.

Its not that I don't want it in oppo, its just that I (personally) will be bowing out of any temptations anywhere on the internets to participate. I have learned that no matter how well intentioned, or thought out or rational a person may be on these matters...its always just going to be a shouting match.

I don't think I know of any view censorship, or care to know (seriously). I just know not to get drawn into a debate of this nature ANYWHERE on the internet.

(seriously, this exact topic led to a pretty heated conversation between us, we have some differences of opinion on these subjects, but are both able to return to our corners, disagree, and come back together).

ETA: Not trying to either accuse you, nor drag you into a conversation about the topic. Just sharing a relevant moment from my life.

it was just something saying with how everything is we're basically in the 60's. Comments got kind of political but not really.
